Pack Walk
This is a group training for dogs and their owners. It is a great exercise providing a lot of learning on various levels.
For the dogs, it promotes socialisation with other members of their species, while at the same time they learn how to follow their respective human leader without getting sidetracked.
Owners learn how to create a positive walking experience that happens on their terms and not on the dog's terms. Also, they have the opportunity to meet like-minded people who know what it means to have a dog with behavioural 'issues', and who will therefore not give them any funny looks or comments!
The Pack Walk is structured in different phases, including plenty of time to roam and relax. It takes place in the beautiful setting around Trencrom Hill, in walking distance from Pet Behaviour Services. Each session concludes with some playtime for the dogs in the fields around the centre.
Numbers are limited and participation is subject to advance booking. Before we can admit a dog to the Pack Walk for the first time it is necessary to have a one-to-one consultation so that the dog's social skills and behaviour can be assessed (see Consultations).
A Pack Walk session lasts between 1 and 1½ hour and costs £5 per dog.
Please bring appropriate weather gear and shoes/wellies!
