My behaviour consultations usually take place in the form of a home visit. Ideally, the initial consultation should be arranged following a referral from your local vet so that I get to know the history and health implications that could possibly affect the animal’s behaviour. However, if there is no recent medical history and your animal has never been seen by your local vet in relation to a behavioural problem, you can also contact me directly in order to discuss your case and make an appointment.

The initial home visit will last between 1/2 and 2 hours, depending on the circumstances, the type of behaviour issue, and on the animal species. Dog consultations will usually last longer than cat consultations. I will give you an estimate of the time needed when we discuss your pet's case on the phone and book an appointment.

A few days after the initial consultation, I will send you a report outlining the advice given. Furthermore, for a period of 1 month following the initial visit, I will be available for free follow-up advice by phone or email where appropriate. If further help is required after this time, a follow-up consultation should be arranged, which will usually not take as long as the initial consultation.

The follow-up consultations can take place at your home or - for dogs only - at my centre near Hayle, Cornwall. Dog follow-ups at my centre usually involve walking your dog outside in the fields around the centre and/or in the beautiful and tranquil settings of Trencrom Hill. Please bring appropriate weather gear and shoes!
